A Word from THE WORD
Good Morning Happy Church,
Today is Saturday, February 20th, 2016. Today is the 51st Day of 2016.
There are only 315 days left in this year; and, there are only 50 Days Left until Our Spring Revival Begins!
We will begin the Revival Meetings on Saturday, April 9th with a Banquet and Sermon at 6pm.
Sunday, April 10th, we will hear Bro Bobby at 10am and again at 6pm.
Monday and Tuesday, April 11th and 12, we will hear Bro Bobby at 7pm each night!
Please clear your schedule to attend as many of these meetings as possible.
As I often say, “The two things you have to invest to be blessed are your Attendance and your Attention!”
Please be in prayer for Dr. Bobby and Sandra Boyles as they travel here and back.
Pray that God will pour out HIS SPIRIT on us as never before!
Pray for the salvation of the lost; repentance and renewal in the life of God’s people; new people to become part of our Church Family; the calling out of ministers and missionaries; a spiritual awakening in our area; and, for Jesus Christ to be glorified in all that we do!
Matthew 6:7-13
7 “And when you pray, do not heap up empty phrases as the Gentiles do, for they think that they will be heard for their many words.
8 Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.
9 Pray then like this: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name.
10 Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread,
12 and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.”
Now and Not Yet
One of the hardest thing about God’s Kingdom for people to grasp is the fact that HIS Kingdom is both “Now, and Not Yet.”
Jesus prays that HIS Kingdom might come; and HIS will be done “on earth as it is in heaven.”
We Americans do not like Kings. We fought the Revolution to get rid of George.
We laugh at the imagery of Kings or we relegate them to Fairy Tales.
BUT, Jesus is “King of Kings and LORD of Lords.” Right now! This is not something that HE will become when HE returns; HE is King now.
And, HE will be physically here as King on the physical Throne of HIS father David when HE returns and sets up HIS millennial Kingdom.
HE will rule and reign in Jerusalem for 1,000 years and then over the Universe forever.
“Now and Not Yet.”
A pretty good definition of revival would be, “HIS people, who do not live as if HE is their King, begin to live as if HE is their King here and now.”
Revival means renewal. A renewal of this awareness in our life is essential for righteous living.
When we think of HIS will versus our will; remembering WHO is King will make all of the difference in our walk with HIM and our witness for HIM.
HIS Kingdom, “on earth as it is in heaven.”
That is revival!
Revival CAN happen, it really CAN happen!
Will we really have revival?
We will soon see!
Carpe Diem!
