A Word from THE WORD
Good Morning Happy Church,
Today is Thursday, February 18th, 2016. Today is the 49th Day of 2016.
Today is Dianna Reinhart’s Birthday!
There are only 317 days left in this year; and, there are only 52 Days Left until Our Spring Revival Begins!
We will begin the Revival Meetings on Saturday, April 9th with a Banquet and Sermon at 6pm.
Sunday, April 10th, we will hear Bro Bobby at 10am and again at 6pm.
Monday and Tuesday, April 11th and 12, we will hear Bro Bobby at 7pm each night!
Please clear your schedule to attend as many of these meetings as possible.
As I often say, “The two things you have to invest to be blessed are your Attendance and your Attention!”
Please be in prayer for Dr. Bobby and Sandra Boyles as they travel here and back.
Pray that God will pour out HIS SPIRIT on us as never before!
Pray for the salvation of the lost; repentance and renewal in the life of God’s people; new people to become part of our Church Family; the calling out of ministers and missionaries; a spiritual awakening in our area; and, for Jesus Christ to be glorified in all that we do!
Matthew 6:7-13
7 “And when you pray, do not heap up empty phrases as the Gentiles do, for they think that they will be heard for their many words.
8 Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.
9 Pray then like this: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name.
10 Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread,
12 and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.”
First Things First!
Jesus’ second request in the Model Prayer is “YOUR Kingdom come.” Is that a priority in our life – and, is that the real priority of the Revival we seek?
It is easy for me to think of revival as being a time when all of the things “I hope to see” come to pass actually come to pass!
BUT, a real revival would be when the things GOD desires to see come to pass actually come to pass. In other words, “YOUR Kingdom come.”
We hear a lot in ministry about Kingdom Builders. Unfortunately, the Kingdom being built is often the Pastor’s, or the Church’s, or the Denomination’s Kingdom rather than the Kingdom of God.
Everything we do – including this series of Revival meetings – must be done for the good of God’s Kingdom. Of course, all of us long to see real blessings for our Church.
But, what if God wants to use these efforts for some other part of His Kingdom work?
Real revival in the heart of God’s people will always produce a passion to see HIS Kingdom expanded and HIS work done.
So we pray, as I say above…
“Pray for the salvation of the lost; repentance and renewal in the life of God’s people; new people to become part of our Church Family; the calling out of ministers and missionaries; a spiritual awakening in our area; and, for Jesus Christ to be glorified in all that we do!”
Revival for the good of HIS Kingdom may look different than we expect; in fact, it may cost us.
I think I know my heart… at least, I hope I know my heart; and, if I do know my heart my desire to see HIS Kingdom work done in the world.
My sincere prayer is that HE will choose to do HIS Kingdom work though us and our Church!
We see the need for revival everywhere… but, we certainly see the need for revival here and nearby. This is a spiritually needy area.
Let’s pray that God will send revival here and soon!
We can do nothing to determine whom God will choose to use in the near future; but, we can determine that we are going to seek to be useable in HIS Kingdom!
Revival CAN happen, it really CAN happen!
Will we really have revival?
We will soon see!
Carpe Diem!
