A Word from THE WORD
Good Morning Happy Church,
Today is Tuesday, February 16th, 2016. Today is the 47th Day of 2016.
There are only 319 days left in this year; and, there are only 54 Days Left until Our Spring Revival Begins!
We will begin the Revival Meetings on Saturday, April 9th with a Banquet and Sermon at 6pm.
Sunday, April 10th, we will hear Bro Bobby at 10am and again at 6pm.
Monday and Tuesday, April 11th and 12, we will hear Bro Bobby at 7pm each night!
Please clear your schedule to attend as many of these meetings as possible.
As I often say, “The two things you have to invest to be blessed is your Attendance and your Attention!”
Please be in prayer for Dr. Bobby and Sandra Boyles as they travel here and back.
Pray that God will pour out HIS SPIRIT on us as never before!
Pray for the salvation of the lost; repentance and renewal in the life of God’s people; new people to become part of our Church Family; the calling out of ministers and missionaries; a spiritual awakening in our area; and, for Jesus Christ to be glorified in all that we do!
Jeremiah 8:22
“Is there no balm in Gilead? Is there no physician there? Why then has the health of the daughter of my people not been restored?”
I have not come up with many great pieces of advice in my life, but the best I have done may be “Never deny the obvious.”
No one likes painful truth, but when the truth is obvious we are wise to confront it and deal with it.
It is obvious that we need revival!
The Prophet Jeremiah cried out to God about the horrific condition of his (and God’s) people. Things had gone about as bad as it could for them.
They were God’s chosen people; they had the promises of God; yet, they were broken and near to the point of destruction.
Clearly, we are not at that point. Thank YOU LORD!
But, as we take an honest look at the fruit of our ministry we can see that we are not nearly as healthy as we would love to be.
Why are we not seeing more people saved?
Why is the LORD not adding more people to our Church?
Why is the LORD not calling out our people for ministry and missionary work?
Why is our weekly absence rate so high?
We are God’s people! We have the promises of God?
Why? “Is there no balm in Gilead? Is there no physician there?
Why?
Rule #1 – there is nothing wrong with God!
Rule #2 – there are no exceptions to Rule #1.
Therefore, WE must be the problem.
Therefore, we MUST need revival!
Needing revival is not the same thing as wanting revival; but, knowing we need revival is the first step to having revival.
I need revival. We need revival. May God grant us the grace to see our need and to so hunger for revival that we will commit ourselves to making the most of this upcoming opportunity to experience this protracted time of saturation in the Word of God!
Revival CAN happen, it really CAN happen!
Will we really have revival?
We will soon see!
Carpe Diem!
