A Word from THE WORD
Good Morning Happy Church,
Today is Thursday, February 11th, 2016. Today is the 42nd Day of 2016.
Today is Carolyn Greek’s Birthday!
There are only 324 days left in this year; and, there are only 59 Days Left until Our Spring Revival Begins!
We will begin the Revival Meetings on Saturday, April 9th with a Banquet and Sermon at 6pm.
Sunday, April 10th, we will hear Bro Bobby at 10am and again at 6pm.
Monday and Tuesday, April 11th and 12, we will hear Bro Bobby at 7pm each night!
Please clear your schedule to attend as many of these meetings as possible.
As I often say, “The two things you have to invest to be blessed is your Attendance and your Attention!”
Please be in prayer for Dr. Bobby and Sandra Boyles as they travel here and back.
Pray that God will pour out HIS SPIRIT on us as never before!
Pray for the salvation of the lost; repentance and renewal in the life of God’s people; new people to become part of our Church Family; the calling out of ministers and missionaries; a spiritual awakening in our area; and, for Jesus Christ to be glorified in all that we do!
2 Corinthians 4:16
“So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day.”
One of the obvious realities of revival, (or at least what should be an obvious reality of revival) is that most of us are “too busy and too tired” to give up FOUR EVENINGS IN A ROW to attend a series of “Revival Meetings.”
Young people will have gotten up early; rushed off to school; done school all day; rushed home; then, gotten a quick meal; and then you have to get to Church.
And what about homework?
Young adults have gotten up early; many have gotten the kids off to school; got ready to work; got to work; worked hard all day; rushed home and fed everyone; then, you have to get to Church; knowing that dishes and laundry are still waiting for you.
Middle adults have gotten up early; gotten ready for work; got to work; worked hard all day; rushed home to get a quick bite of something to eat; then you have to get over to Church; knowing that dishes and laundry are still waiting for you!
Older adults have tried to get up; finally made it; crept down the hall; gone to the bathroom; made and drank a few cups of coffee; made the beds; went back to the bathroom; picked up the grandkids; drove them to school; hurried back home to go back to the bathroom; cleaned the house; did the shopping; had lunch; took a short nap; went back to the bathroom; picked up the grandkids at school; grabbed a bite of left-overs from Sunday; and then you still have to get over to Church!
Four nights in a row!
I get it! Believe me; I get it!
BUT, just yesterday, we read, “those who wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength…”
And today, we just read, “our inner self is being renewed day by day.”
It is God WHO renews us; it is God WHO blesses us; and, it is God WHO calls us to gather for times of “solemn assembly.”
The God WHO commands us will renew our strength! HE will refresh our spirit, i.e., our “inner being.”
Bobby Boyles is the most spiritually gifted preacher and pastor that I have ever personally known.
God can use him; has greatly used him; is using him; and, I believe HE will use him to bless us for these four amazing and happy days!
Revival, Refreshing, and all Spiritual Growth are all a result of sacrifice!
God will bless our sacrifice and we will be renewed through the worship, fellowship, sacrifice, and PROTRACTED exposure to HIS Word!
I hope you will make a personal and sincere commitment to set aside April 9th through the 12th to be at every service seeking to personally experience the amazing blessings of Revival!
Revival CAN happen, it really CAN happen!
Will we really have revival?
We will soon see!
Carpe Diem!
